I really enjoyed this cruiseline by shanitamoore

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was my 3rd cruise and each cruise I have been on has been with a different line. I really liked MSC cabins they have been the most spacious of the three cruise lines I have been on. Yes the bed in our cabin for the 3rd person was a bunk bed. The food was also better than the other cruise lines I have been on. I enjoyed the buffet as well as the restaurant food. I felt it was well seasoned. I hate bland food. I will say that the ship was entirely booked up and I was told that MSC ships are usually booked up. It was very crowded and the elevators were very slow. I was travelling with someone in a wheelchair so that meant that we usually had to wait on the elevator 2 or 3 times before we could actually get on. Embarkation and Disembarkation was relatively easy. On Disembarkation we used the early disembarkation and it was very easy and preferable because it kept us from waiting in the baggage claim area as you have to carry your own bags. We travelled with children 13 years, 8 years, and 10 years. The 8 and 10 year olds did not like the kids club. They felt it was run like a daycare. Ship entertainment was good. I especially liked the Treasure Island show and the King of Pop tribute to Michael Jackson was pretty good. Majority of crew was very friendly.

Divina Cruise by enjoycruising2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The cabin was roomy.  Good closet space.  Staff friendly and helpful.  Many choices for evening entertainment.

Enjoyed using the jacuzzis.  Buffet selection was good.  Dining room staff was too busy to give much attention.  Had to ask several times for coffee at the end of the dinner.

Ship beautiful and kept clean.

The MSC Divina - a beautiful ship by phillipgick

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The MSC Divina impresses you before you board her and does not let you down was aboard. The cabin conveyed a sense of spaciousness. The food was excellent. All of the staff was very courteous and attentive. The theater cast was very talented, the shows varied in their level of entertainment appeal. Some shows titles conveyed little about the actual presentation and some shows would have a limited audience appeal.

Think before u book MSC for your cruise by Steph197070

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Well, where do I begin? The ship was very modern and beautiful but very dark and lacking personality. Easy to find your way around after the first few hours on oard. Main dining room for dinner was a bit dark and the food was not good. I would say out of 7 nights I liked 2 meals. Desserts were ok. Soups, terrible, just plain weird. The buffet restaurant served the SAME FOOD  everyday! Very boring very repetitious. Had to fight the crowds for a table at every meal. Husband and I almost dreaded going to eat because of it. Waiters at buffet completely do not speak! Everyone on oard is speaking in another language which we expected on this Italian cruise line but did not expect all an announcements and tv commercials in 8 languages. We had a balcony cabin which was nice. Loved our room porter. UT spoke no english. Casino is too small and slots are tight,  no one was winning. Bars are overcrowded and NOT ENOUGH TO KEEP U. IS ON THIS SHIP! Too many people for the size of the ship. Now, thank god for the shows every night or we would have had to dive overboard from boredom! Shows were fantastic, mainly singing and dancing. U never see the cruise director except for the tc morning show and the beginning announcements at the theatre show. Getting off at the ports was easy enough but the ship is never on schedule. We were pressured constantly to buy the drink package and for godsakes don't order the horrible room service or the the I tenet that are bothe  downright awful. We kept going back to our room out of boredom and kids sail free so good luck at the pools and the ice cream stations. We will continue cruising on other cruise lines and never with MSC again. Most boring 7 day cruise yet, we wanted off after 4 days. Nervous

Cruising in Style by Cruiser30760394

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I did not have one favorite part. There were many...the décor, entertainment, the many dance venues.I also enjoyed the European flavor. I had many opportunities to speak French, Spanish and Italian.

I do think more attention should be paid to the handicapped, there being a need for a handrail in the Pantheon theatre. Also some historical background should be given in the daily bulletin regarding the places to be visited. In addition, I felt a sensory overload, especially on the elevators..too many lights, mirrors and reflections!Happy

MSC DIVINA- 7 DAY EASTERN CARIBBEAN by dstutz4488

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was one of the best  cruises ever, and My wife and In have taken around 17 cruises in the past 25 years.

Ship was spotless, with crew members cleaning and wiping day and night. Never once did we pass a crew member without them saying hello or give the greeting of the day and have a smile on their face.

Food was absolutely fabulous in the dinning room dinner time.  The choices were hard because there were so many great entree's each night.

Entertainment was in my opinion, Broadway quality.  There was even a special daytime presentation of classical opera with ballet, which I love.

MSC Divina Cruise by Cruiser88341072

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

MSC Divina is a beautiful ship the shows are beautiful the staff has gotten much better since our first time on it.  We enjoy cruising with MSC they have great prices.  We also enjoyed a Dominican duo they had last year which was incredible.  Unfortunately, they were not on the ship this year and we truly missed having that music to dance with.

Service was hit and miss by Cruiser57126012

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Our dinner staff was good. Breakfast and lunch on the other hand tended to be slow and poor. Example; breakfast, got waffles and bacon. Waffles came, bacon arrived 20 minutes later. took 25 minutes to get a refill on a coffee. The list go on......

Awesome cruise! by stefhani

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My husband and I plus our 3 children (ages 4, 6, 7) absolutely loved our time on the Divina. It is a beautiful ship which is kept very clean. The shows were fun, specially the Michael Jackson one. The stuff is very polite and helpful. Our room was always in order, and our food in the dining room was always hot. The portions were perfect, as it wasn't too much food nor too little. Hot Wings for free in the sports bar! they are great! Getting off the ship was a little line or you need to wait in a spot for the excursion to leave all together. It was not disorganized at all, lines are to be expected in every cruise line as everyone is trying to get off the ship. When it was my sons birthday, they had brought the cake I purchased and the waiters came around singing happy birthday with a eukelele. We had a terrific time, we booked some excursion through the ship and some independently, all four were excellent. My daughter wants to move to Jamaica when she grows up lol and I want to go explore Mexico a little more in depth. I recommend this cruise for all, we are already looking to book with their new ship Seaside for next June!

Excellent family experience by MaldonadoCarlo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Western

we travel with our older children (not yet teens) and the club activities were appealing to them too. The personnel at the club was very accomodating.  Food was delicious both at the assigned restaurant and buffet.  They probably need more personnel to clean up the tables during rush hours.  Shows were excellent.  The beverage package included in our offer was a good choice.

Poor customer service by tanyajmaes

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The food was great. Customer service "guest services" needs improvement. I felt that if you spend the money to enjoy your vacation you should enjoy it. Being sick on your vacation is not an ideal one. Especially when it could have been prevented. We met other customers who encountered issues on this cruise as well. Having a flooded bathroom & inhailing the mouldy fumes is not an experience we paid for.

1st cruise - Shelor/Carney by 91psalm1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Cruise was great experience. Enjoyed the boat & all the things she had to offer during the day & night.  My teenagers loved the teen club after dinner & all night buffet.

Change: updates from the captain to hear from speakers in the room. We had to open the door in order to hear.

Big Smile

Great Choice by andrewsjdiii

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

The ship is beautiful. The kind people working really do an excellent job keeping it looking like new. The most of the entertainment was different than some of the other cruise lines, but very enjoyable.

MSC by Teri26

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I thought the cruise was ok, MSC needs to stand behind their customer service when they tell customers one thing and the ship says something completely different. (Photo).  Blood stains on comforter tick in another bed, food menu was same except maybe one entree! Food was mediocre at best, this was my 10th cruise and MSC was by far the worst! Would not recommend cruise line.

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I loved how amazing the service was and how clean the boat was at all times. The staff were all very nice and the food was amazing. Even the buffet food was great. There was always something to do and the shows were awesome. Loved the ports and excursions. Honestly, I cannot find anything to complain about. Loved everything about this cruise line and am ready to book for next year.

A different experience by sharoanders5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

My favorite part of this cruise for me was the entertainment, there was to get involved with or going on every night that I was there, me and a couple of my co-workers ate in the dining room every night and I must say, they have the best coffee I've ever tasted, when returning to New Jersey, we began looking for it ,yes we found it!!😊

Great Ship, Great Entertainment, Great Service, Need more bartenders by tobibayeux

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was beautiful, class and had great amenities.  The entertainment was high quality, especially the opera singers.  The service at the restaurants and housekeeping were excellent.  The only thing I had a complaint about was the number of bartenders.  Every time I was ordering a drink at a bar (throughout ship), there were delays due to the number of drinks they were preparing.

Not what I expected... good and bad by drvictoriaboyd

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: MSC Divina / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Recently cruised on the MSC Divina (5/13-20/17) and it was a mixture of highs and lows. Having been on 10 -12 previous ships we were expecting amenities that we had become accustomed to and always present on other ships. Things like, in cabin robes, and a much wider selection of food choices and variation.

One item I did not like was the over abundance of sales people upon boarding... all trying to get you to buy, buy, buy - drink packages, etc.... we found ourselves avoiding them and they were everywhere.

Another let down was the food. We usually look forward to getting a wide variety and fun presentations of various meal options. This ship offered no pool side BBQ's or special features. The buffet (especially breakfast) basically was the same everyday. This was the first ship that did not offer for example a smoked salmon to go with bagels, or any seafood option (I know very specific but I look forward to it). Also annoying, they would run out of food on the buffet. On 3 different days the bacon (also under cooked) tray was empty when I went through the line. They ran out of coffee mugs almost everyday and I would have to go to numerous drink stations to find one. It made starting the day stressful.

The dinners in the Black Crab (table #456) were ok. Ordered a steak med-rare and it came out well done and tough as nails. So avoided the steaks after that. Usually we come home raving about the food  - can't do it for this trip.

On the bright side this ship attracted many Europeans from places like Scotland, Australia, Switzerland etc.... it was great meeting them. The staff was also great, especially Claudia and Ivan up in the Garden Pool Bar  area.
