Review summary

Well, where do I begin? The ship was very modern and beautiful but very dark and lacking personality. Easy to find your way around after the first few hours on oard. Main dining room for dinner was a bit dark and the food was not good. I would say out of 7 nights I liked 2 meals. Desserts were ok. Soups, terrible, just plain weird. The buffet restaurant served the SAME FOOD  everyday! Very boring very repetitious. Had to fight the crowds for a table at every meal. Husband and I almost dreaded going to eat because of it. Waiters at buffet completely do not speak! Everyone on oard is speaking in another language which we expected on this Italian cruise line but did not expect all an announcements and tv commercials in 8 languages. We had a balcony cabin which was nice. Loved our room porter. UT spoke no english. Casino is too small and slots are tight,  no one was winning. Bars are overcrowded and NOT ENOUGH TO KEEP U. IS ON THIS SHIP! Too many people for the size of the ship. Now, thank god for the shows every night or we would have had to dive overboard from boredom! Shows were fantastic, mainly singing and dancing. U never see the cruise director except for the tc morning show and the beginning announcements at the theatre show. Getting off at the ports was easy enough but the ship is never on schedule. We were pressured constantly to buy the drink package and for godsakes don't order the horrible room service or the the I tenet that are bothe  downright awful. We kept going back to our room out of boredom and kids sail free so good luck at the pools and the ice cream stations. We will continue cruising on other cruise lines and never with MSC again. Most boring 7 day cruise yet, we wanted off after 4 days.

I read this review before my cruise and I have to comment now that I experienced MSC...you guys must be very boring people! The MSC was great!

Just got off the Carnival Conquest and I must say....MSC has them beat. I'm hoping the new Seaside has more entertainment options...I did like that part of Carnival, but MSC does a classy ship. We decided to try them again. Lol

Been on Divina twice before and will be again in July. My wife and I love it and other than the pool deck being crowded on sea days I can think of nothing else negative at all??? And pool decks have been crowded on sea days with the other two lines we've sailed with as well!!!

Disagree with almost all of your analysis! Better to think of glass as half full than half empty. Makes for a happier life!

I am leasing in 8 days as well. See you then.

We are going on the Divina in 8 days. I've read many reviews. I've decided it's what the reviewer was hoping to get out of the experience and/or has had in other cruisekines. We've sailed on 4 other lines and frankly they might have small differences but really they are all the same. buffet food is buffet food, MDR is hit or miss, same for entertaining you. bottomline it's the attitude and companionship you bring along, I am sure we will have a great time. ...and probably be bored at times...but take a nap it's vacation.😎

We take our first MSC on the Divina in November. We chatted with Divina passengers when we were in port last year (we were on the Escape) they said they loved the ship which encouraged us to give it a trip. In our experience buffets do tend to be pretty much the same everyday, but when you've got hundreds of things to pick from can't see how it's a problem.

We have been on msc 5 times, and we have had a wonderful cruise every time. On thr buffet there is 5 different pizza, 4 different pasta. Burgers, pomfritter, hotdog, salat, fresh fruit. Different meat, potato, soups. Osv. Yes it is the same every day. But you do not have to eat the same every day. Try to respect the staff, and i am sure they will respect you.

We went last July. We also were bored and really didn't love it. We had fun but won't book them again. But it's a beautiful and elegant ship.

Well I am cruising on the Divina in 10 days and I plan on having fun. I will see the good things and ignore the rest. I think some people focus on the bad things only and it is certainly not my case. This is my once a year trip and I will make it one to remember.

Can I ask why the announcements being done in more than English was a bad thing? Most of the times you can't even hear them anyway. I had no problem with the waiters at the buffet speaking. I do agree with you on the drink package and the buffet being boring, we were asked to buy the drink package but after the 2nd day that stopped.

This makes me very sad to read your review. Our family spent $3000.00 dollars for a trip on this ship in August. I hope its really not as bad as you are saying! It cant be that bad??

I completely agree 110% with steph... I cruised with msc last year and I will never cruise with them again.

sorry you didn't have a great experience. we were on the Divina in May and had a fabulous experience and now booked a med cruise for next yr with msc.

Thanks for the review. Sorry it was overall so bad for you. I have been considering a MSC cruise but reviews like yours keeps me 'considering' and NOT signing up. Thanks again.
