Review summary

After reading many reviews and discouraged by the negative ones, I was pleasantly surprised to find what a great ship the Divina is. Staff is friendly, respectful and for the most part accommodating. Since I was on a scooter, the minute I grabbed a plate at the buffet, a staff member would assist me to all the stations so I could choose what to eat and take me to a table. Then, brought me my drink. Our server and assistant waited on us hand and foot at the Black Crab. My only complaint is that doors could have an automatic opener for mobility disabled. Crew seemed to like if you asked about their country of origin and about their families. The work shifts of 10 to 12 hours a day and only get to go home every 6, 7 or 8 months. Please carry small bills for tipping as the charge the company adds on is only considered a 'commission' and like in most businesses, favoritism exists to get these commissions. Like someone else mentioned in another review, MSC is just an inch away from being the best cruise line catering to Americans!

Disable cabin was spacious. Bathroom meets needs but needed a little sprucing in roll in shower area.

Well said Karen070, MSC has been around for many many years, in fact during COVID they didn't even have to scrap not one of their ships because they still were making money through their shipping business (MSC shipping containers).. they're The number one cruise line in Europe in fact I'm originally from Europe living in the USA. I have travel MSC from Europe with my parents when I was young, most Americans are not going to like or don't MSC because of the European flare the European vibe, The European style of doing things, few years ago it was mostly Mediterranean food now they are starting to change some of the Mediterranean dishes to please the šŸ˜¢ Americans! In fact if Americans would travel on "Ida" German cruise line they would probably say the same thing they don't like the food, they don't like the staff, they don't like the cabin . Do your homework before you travel on MSC!!

Glad you liked it. When we went on MSC we were hoping it would be our new favorite. Unfortunately, it turned out to be our least favorite. I do want to try them again though.

Thanks for your review! Will be taking our 2nd MSC cruise in about 45 days on the Seascape. Very much looking forward to sailing a new ship.

Glad you enjoyed it. I spent 19 days on the Divina in October and have 3 more cruises on her in the next 6 months. Iā€™m not sure why there are so many negative reviews.
