Review summary

Gorgeous ship but problems everywhere. 5 different languages used onboard. Forced share tables in mdr. Lack of dining options. Bad itinerary and ports. Worst pool chair hogs ever. Lazy staff. Complicated packages. Good cabin.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Due to matched loyalty status we bypassed all the queues. Once onboard the guest relations officer was helpful

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
After being on the ncl epic I didn’t think food could get any worse but MSC proves it can. Hated the mdr. The buffet started well but slipped everyday. Pizza was great and coffee was great. Cocktails were terrible. Wine poured in beer glasses. Hum smoothies took 30 Minutes to prepare

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Loads of activities staff but they were lazy and often wouldn’t hold activity. Dance and stretch classes were fun.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Enjoyed the opera show. Other shows were poor which was such a shame as the theatre was beautiful and the stage was huge.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Bars were packed and staff struggled. Drinks packages was confusing and staff had no idea. Waiters were nice but food was so bad it was hard to appreciate

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship is gorgeous and doesn’t feel like a mega ship. Typically Italian - gorgeous design but nothing works

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Balcony cabin was very large but strangely bathroom was tiny. Very austere. Housekeeping average.

Ship tip
