Review summary

Overall, this is a wonderful Cruise. I had absolutely no complaints. My wife didn't like the fact that every announcement was made in several languages. BUT let my reiterate....The ENTERTAINMENT was excellent...the best ever.

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Come on! Thousands of meal coming out at the same time. If you want a Gourmet meal, you need to go to a gourmet restaurant and PAY gourmet prices. Look at it this way, you're paying for a cruise with good entertainment, great beach stop overs, fun activities aboard and people watching and mingling.....and then they throw in some free food! So the food is average at best! It gets the job done....there's lots to choose from and you're nourished. So I've never let the food be the "make it or break it" factor for me. Enjoy this wonderful cruise experience! (See comments on Entertainment below)

Onboard Activities

Man, you've got to hand it to the staff of the entertainment. They keep the action going. Some silly things (well, mostly silly things...but it is really fun laughing at other people!), some really good trivia quizzes, and some very entertaining activities.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Here's the one factor that takes the MSC Divina and catapults it to the top of the class. The entertainment was spectacular! When the cruise director told the audience (after the first night's show) that the entertainment would getting better each night, we thought, "impossible!". The audience had been on their feet giving a "Standing O". BUT, he was right! The shows got better and better. The entertainment was (and probably will continue to be) the BEST we've ever seen. We know that you will definitely agree.

Ship tip

If you like wine, then attend the Wine Tasting on the MSC Divina. It is money well spent. I paid $9.00 (may be slightly more or less). You will sample 6 wines (along with bread, cheese and fruit to cleanse your palate). I attended the Wine Tasting 2 days (wines different on those days). It is done about 2 pm on sea days so you won't miss anything). This is a good time to sample some wines you may not have known about and also a good time to get friendly with other passengers (it's well attended).

Ports of call

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Duns River Falls....not much else to say, except "Just Do It!" What is the better than climbing up a waterfall watching strangers holding hands. Man, this is really fun!

George Town, Grand Cayman

Swimming with the Sting Rays is an adventure you will never forget.

Cozumel, Mexico

Looking at those Mexican ruins....reminded me of my college dorm!

Nassau, Bahamas

Can you say, "Straw Market". Not much to do there unless you like getting 50 to 75% off stuff that was really marked up 150% to begin with. Visiting Atlantis is nice, but unless you're willing to fork over $50.00 to sit on their beach, there's not much to do there either. We decided to take a tour from local vendors to Love Beach. We can't imagine when this beach last saw LOVE....it was run down, desolate and a complete waste of time. The water was way too rocky to even stand up in, no less swim in. It was a waste of time and money. We went back to where the ship was docked and walked over to a local beach which was nice. We then spent some time at the local Dunkin Donuts there and enjoyed a nice cappuccino and their free Wi-Fi.

We went to all the shows ,, the opera was beautiful , it was in Italian but , I’m a hopeless romantic and loved it , some were better than others but we weren’t disappointed,

I can understand the multiple language frustrations. If it can save another life, so be it!!!
