Review summary

I was very disappointed in MSC. They were short staffed from day 1. It was obvious in the dining restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The wait was horrible. My husband is still waiting for his main course that was never delivered to the table during a lunch seating. 3 separate seatings I asked for ice tea. I never received and asked numerous times during each seating. MSC also knew they had a lot of new staff members on board. No direction seemed to be given. I felt sorry for the staff because they were trying to please but couldn't handle the load. I have been on 10 other cruise with 2 other cruise lines. This was my first and probably my LAST MSC cruise. MSC should have stepped up and given all cruisers some kind of discount. MSC knew that this was not their typical performance because ALL staff members continued to apologize for inconveniences throughout the cruse.

My only complaint was the last night. It stated that our cabin refrigerator would be checked and locked between 6-8 pm. We left our cabin for this to take place. We got in our cabin after 8 and went to bed. Our steward knocked on our door at 10pm to check the refrigerator. REALLY! We were sleeping and had an early & long day on Saturday with flights. This was ridiculous!

Ship tip

DO NOT WASTE your time or money. The ship is beautiful but not worth the price.

Thanks for sharing your cruise.

You were on the sailing that happened to have hurricane issues.  At least 400 crew were not able to make it back to the ship that sailing.  All the complaining is ugly.  Do not expect to,pay cheaper fares and get the same food and service.

DH and I were also one this sailing and are in agreement that it was a first and last time on MSC. This was our 22nd cruise and absolutely the worst service we have ever had. Everyone we spoke to during the week were in agreement. The ship was pretty but seemed cramped and overcrowded.

Lol I know there is no difference in yacht club class. But I also see other posts that people were unhappy and the same guy said the same thing. I am guessing he or she works for MSC. 😆

New workers

Yes they ran out of sugar in the buffet. We had to get it just n a paper cup. Also offer lobster on the menu but we was told that ship didn't have any. There was a lot of problems all together. With about 400 untrained workers

I'm glad we wasn't the only ones feel like this. The dining was horrible. We couldn't get service for nothing. Everything was always wrong and the was nasty. This is my 4th cruise line and 9th cruise and this is the worse ever. I do not plan to ship with them again

There are no differences in yacht club. There's only one.

boldpro    8 years ago

Maybe you should try the yacht club we were in

abennis    8 years ago

Yep you lucked out and got the special yacht club with no issues and I guess I didn't pay that level

boldpro    8 years ago

Oh we must have been in a different Yacht Club because we had none of these issues

As a former Divina I agree that improvements are needed.

We were yacht club level. The food we thought was terrible, the staff was full of themselves and as the week went on they were running out of food. We went to the coffee bar every night by the 4th night they were out of stuff and one bartender asked me to run to the other bar and get the bottle he needed lol. But the boat was nice!

So we sailed on the Divina twice this summer and had a wonderful experience we were in the yacht club maybe you should spend a little more to get a little more

We sailed MSC out of Miami last year. We will never spend a dime with them again!

We found MSC to be the least desirable of the lines we've tried. We gave them a second chance, since they offered more ports for 7 nights in Europe than others. They allowed children to sail free, and each port was an embarkation/disembarkation port. This attracted low budget (hate to use the term) trash. I doubt we'll return to them. The ports and excursions, however, were amazing.

I went in Nov 2015 . Will probably not cruise on them again
