Review summary

The ship was immaculate, the service in the dining room and the room maintenance was excellent to outstanding. The entertainment far surpassed any we have ever had on other cruises.

The major problem was that we believed that we had arranged for an upgraded balcony cabin but instead it was tiny, no chair, no sofa, had to bring in a balcony chair to sit on, and we ran into each other when we turned around. We view this as a fault of cruises .com because our planning would NEVER have anticipated being in a postage stamp sized cabin. MSC did a good job. They are still learning about American expectations, but that will come as they do more American based cruises.

We will have trouble recommending to other friends.

I think that this was not the fault of the ship.  You do have to be very careful when selecting a stateroom.  I always use my travel agent to help because she notices things that sometimes I don't pay attention to.  Most ships tell you the square footage of a stateroom..

Cruises.com should have informed you that the Category B1 balcony staterooms which you were placed into have no seating area on this ship.  This is why it's always best to purchase the B2 or B3 (which is usually about $60 more in pricing).  Those staterooms would have afforded you the seating area that you needed.  I hope this helps.  Myrna Reyes CruiseOne
