Beautiful ship

Sail Date: November 29, 2014

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The embarkation was a breeze. As we stepped on the ship, we were amazed by the beautiful interior. Lots of mirrors and very sparkly. The atrium was gorgeous! We were also surprised that we had a free upgrade to a balcony cabin. Very roomy with a great view. We were a little disappointed by the lack of variety of activities. The evening entertainment was about the same with singing, dancing and acrobats. We chose not to attend all of them but decided to watch the movie on the big screen or take advantage of one of the many hot tubs. The meals were OK. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the pizza station. The staff wasn't as friendly as with other cruises that we had been on. Because this being an Italian liner they were more professional not so much in getting to know you. Overall, it was relaxing and enjoyed. Will probably not go back but was a good one-time experience.

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Had a wonderful waiter in the Villa Rosa, Agas. Met our needs with a smile
More variety would have been better, comedy or magic
Children's Programs na/
Onboard Activities
Not much variety, mostly games and pool activities.
Destinations and Excursions
Bothe Phillipsburg and San Juan were interesting. We chose to hire a local for the island tours.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten Had a 4 hour tour with a local. Our favorite thing was to watch the planes land and take off at the beach.
San Juan, Puerto Rico We visited the San Juan fort.
Great Stirrup Cay (Cruiseline Private Island), Bahamas couldn't tender to the island due to choppy waters.

For the buffet area, it was better to move away from the central area and use the side stations to avoid the crowds.
