The MSC Armonia cruise was excellent. The weather was good, the crew including the Captain and officers were very visible and friendly. We enjoyed the Cruise Critic reception and the reception and perks MSC provided the us as Black card Voyager members.
We enjoyed the no hassle drink package and internet that was included in our fare. The shows were excellent and the entertainment (fun staff) very friendly and kept us entertained.
We plan to go back to MSC and the Armonia.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
We arrived around 12:20 PM. There were no lines and boarding had already commenced (which was great).
Boarding was seamless and pleasant except when we approached the MSC document checker at the first point of contact. He told us that we cant take our roll aboard luggage and insisted we check it. Being a frequent cruiser I have experienced about 20% of the time when we are questioned. I know our luggage fits through the xray machine (which it does) I insisted that I carry on instead of checking. After some back and forth the agent relented and we got through without further incident.
We were in an Aurea mini suite #1204 and were able to ho directly to our room as it was already ready.

Main dining room food was very good. Pizza and hamburgers were good at the buffet as well as the omelets to order. The other buffet food was mediocre and much of the food was not warm. Specialty restaurant was excellent.

Entertainment
5 out of 5
The entertainment for the most part was EXCELLENT. The theater performers were top notch with the dancing and singing and the variety of the shows every night except one...but they provided a entertainment team variety show which was funny and crazy but very enjoyable.
The Entertainment Team was active from early morning with yoga to exercise, to game shows to dance instruction for all kinds of dances i.e. samba, cha cha, etc.

Ship Quality

Absolutely spotless in all areas of the ship including dining rooms, buffet area (inside and outside), bathrooms, bars, theater, and reception areas.
Also excellent in the Aurea SPA facilities and gym.
Cabin / Stateroom

Great mini suite. Balcony facing front view of ship so you can see from front instead of side. Captains Bridge is one deck below on deck 11.
Nice size mini suite. Lots of drawer space including walk-in closet. Separate vanity desk with large mirror that opens up to reveal safe and shelves. Bathroom is nice with 2 shelves above sink and more shelves under sink. Not too pleased with tub. You have to step up over a high tub to get in and out. Not good for someone not steady on their feet.
Ship tip
Take part in the dance lessons and discover the movie theater that is on deck 6. Comfortable seats and nice sound system. Had a great selection of movies which showed about 4 times per day.
Lot to see either by tour or on your own. Lots of shopping and ability to bargain. The day was hot so we took our time. Have been to Cozumel many times before.
Disembarkation was excellent and very orderly. It was a breeze getting off the ship and we were waiting for our Lyft on the curb at 7:15 am. I must admit we took our own luggage off but from what I saw from other passengers this was one of the smoothest I've experienced.
