Review summary

If I could give my experience with Royal Caribbean 0 stars I would. I would like to share what I experienced and went through in hopes that I can save someone from trauma and raise awareness for the horrible actions that went on. I also would like to raise awareness for mental health disorders. Because of a mental disorder, I was confined into a room with everything I had, including my prescription medication taken away from me. I had 0 rights. Ship doctor was one of the most heartless and disrespectful human beings. Prisoners get more hours of sunlight that I was allowed. All employees gave different responses and it was clear there was lack of communication. Every action done by staffing was traumatic and contradictory of what should have been done. I will be writing my story to raise awareness of this issue. Please if you have a mental disorder DO NOT GO!

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Nothing too notable, everything was as expected.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Room service (all I was allowed to eat) was cold and disappointing! Dining room food was decent.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Was not allowed out of my cabin!

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
SECURITY AND MEDICAL SHOULD ALL BE FIRED AND HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Nothing too special for a cruise.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
I was not allowed to stay in my cabin for half of my trip. I was confined into a cabin and saw less than 1 hour of sunlight in 48 hours. I felt like a prisoner. Basic things including towels, chairs and trash cans were all taken from me.

Ship tip

One piece of advice is if you struggle with a mental disorder, reach out to me before you go or just do not go!

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

Disembarkation

Everyone was rude and rushing you to move fast. Crew members all yelling and nasty.

You must have given them a reason to confine you during the cruise. I hope that you are taking your meds and feeling better; but your review was not helpful. It sounds personal

I remember your first review. I see your first review was deleted and you entered it again. I'm guessing you probably gave them reason to believe you were a danger to yourself or others. We are not getting the whole story. I'm sorry you had an unpleasant experience. I hope you are doing better now.
