this was a five day cruise. We really enjoyed ourselves. Trip wasn’t too big wasn’t too small. Believe it or not there weren’t a lot of children on this cruise, so it was very peaceful and laid-back.Embarkation

Playmakers℠ Sports Bar & Arcade
we’ve been to every playmakers that was on a ship that we sailed on. Everyone was excellent, except for this one. We went to sit down, and waiters just walked by us didn’t acknowledge us never gave us a menu, or ask us if we wanted to drink. we sat there for probably 15 minutes and watched some young girl just completely ignore us. We decided to get up and leave and as soon as we were leaving a waiter said @thank you have a great day". My wife asked why are you thanking us because we never go served. He became very apologetic at that point, and asked us to please sit back down. I told him no thank you we’re just gonna go someplace else to eat. we literally got halfway down the Royal Promenade when that same waiter ran down to us stopped us and kept apologizing and kept apologizing. He asked us to come back. At that point we were just done with playmakers and just wanted to go someplace else. He did explain that he just got on the shift and he didn’t know that we were waiting that long and he didn’t know where the other waitress went, but he will take care of us. We said thank you and we just moved on. The next day for some reason we decided to give another try and we sat down. We sat there five minutes. This time I actually got up and told the waiter to please give us a menu. He brought the menu over, took her drink order, we got the hamburger and french fries. Asked for the hamburger to be well done. The hamburger came out medium. Never ate it. We ate the fries. Had one drink paid a bill or signed a check got up and walked away. I don’t know why the playmakers on mariner of the seas is so awful. But we’ve been on probably three or four different ships with playmakers, and all of them have been outstanding. I’m givibg this three stars because the waiter did try to apologize and he did run us down in the promenade, begging us to come back.

Great food and service as always. Chops never disappoints. Doesn’t matter what ship you’re on chops is always five stars.

Ship tip
mariner of the seas does not have a Sorrento’s pizza. The pizza is located in the Promenade Café. playmakers is located where I believe Sorrento usually is on the ship. I wasn’t a big fan of the Pizza being in the Cafe promenade at first but it really wasn’t that bad. I thought the line would get long, but it never really did.
