Review summary

This was a fantastic week on Mariner of the Seas. Fantastic staff and service. Perfect Day Coco Cay was great. Bermuda was so beautiful and clean. Highly recommend it.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
The embarkation experience was just okay. We had an 11:30 am time slot. There were some internet issues that slowed the process down. We were still on the ship just a little past noon.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food on the ship was just okay. We didn't do any of the specialty restaurants. The main dining room and the buffet was all we had. Personally, didn't feel like the options were that great.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We didn't participate in any of the activities.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The Headliner Show: A Tribute to Sir Elton John with Jeffrey Allen was really good. A second show was called Gallery of Dreams. It was great, my favorite of all. The props were beautiful large wall paintings. The singers and dancers all came to life out from those. Third shoe was The Alley Cats. This was an all acapella group that performed all Doo Wop tunes.

Children's Programs

We do not have children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service and staff on the ship was excellent. Our room steward went above and beyond to make sure everything was great. The bed was very firm and we are accustom to a little softer mattress. We ask him if there was anything he could do. On the second night he did add an extra duvet which helped some. On day the third day he had completely redone the bed and add a large foam mattress. Perfect!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We love this class of Royals ships. It was kept very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was very comfortable and had plenty of storage space for two. It was very clean. The location was not far from the aft elevator and was only a couple of decks beneath the Windjammer and the lido deck. This was really nice as we tried to do the stairs as much as we could just to distance from large crowded elevators.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We chose to do self assist disembarkation. We got down to the gangway early (6:50am) and was near the front of the line. It was very seamless. Glad we did go down early because here was a very long line built up behind us.
