My daughter and I had a great time. This was her first cruise. She loved all of the entertainment, food and activities. I am glad we got a suite as it was a great respite from the activity of the ship. This was my second time on Mariner and I enjoyed it even more.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining

The food is really good but I would give it 4.5. Sometimes it was off. Overall a great experience
Onboard Activities

Best item was a movie in the main theater because it was raining. Wish that would happen all the time. Tried archery, sky pad, pools and mini golf. Had a great time with all. Equipment well cared for and safety was enforced.
Entertainment

They are good but not great. I am sure budget with 50% occupancy has something to do with it. Elton John tribute and ice show were awesome. Goddess has a beautiful voice and great band but the show was a bit flat and campy. I didnt care for the Mariner dancer show although the production was great, just felt like a run of disjointed songs. Overall, very happy with the shows. Music in the bars was great and a huge variety. Mini activities were varied although heavy on trivia but were lots of fun and targeted to different age groups.
Service and Staff

EVERYONE was kind, enthusiastic and happy to help guests. Room was always perfect. Captain gave announcements several times a day. Really appreciated updates on Covid cases with reminders to continue healthy practices.
Ship Quality

The ship layout is super easy to navigate. There was so much effort in making sure all areas were cleaned often especially in the Windjammer.
Cabin / Stateroom

Suite was perfectly clean, spacious for my daughter and I. Loved the walk in closet as a dressing space. Only unfortunate item was the balcony hand rail had a new coat of varnish and it took 3 days to dry so we couldn't lean on it and enjoy the ocean.
Ship tip
Try a snack at Bamboo club or Playmakers. Just a small budget item but worth it.
