Review summary
Some improvements could be made in areas but also a 3 day cruise which is typically a bit different in regards to service and quality of food. Back on this ship in 4 weeks, will plan for specialty restaurants each night. Will wait to book a second cruise on a ship until I've sailed on it moving forward. Overall 4 stars.Embarkation
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
Main Dining Room
Only ate dinner here once. Wasn't overly impressed after that first meal. Attempted breakfast in the dining room but had limited hours and wasn't consistent both days. Never open for lunch.
Solarium Bar
Not open most of the cruise.
Café Promenade
Quick service and additional options. The sub sandwiches shown in the case are not what is served. You get the fillings with 2 pieces of bread, a bit misleading.
Pool Bar
Quick service, great drinks and friendly crew!
Viking Crown Lounge
Typically my favorite place on the ship. This one is cut in half...diamond club/suites have one half and everyone else in the other.
Chop's Grille
Fantastic service, excellent food!
Onboard Activities
Casino Royale
Too much smoke in a small place. Smelled it on the decks above when walking through common areas multiple times.
Solarium
Clean, relaxing and well monitored to keep kids out of the adults only area.
Center Ice Rink
More seating than expected. Show was interactive and brought the audience in.
Perfume Shop
Prices on many items higher than in the U.S. even with tax.
Spa and Fitness Center
Excellent service! Several deals offered. Staff really pushed for additional purchases.
Boutiques
Not a lot of shopping options/selections. Main focus was the $10 gifts.
