Review summary

We recently went on the Mariner of the Seas and I can only say that it was fantastic. The checkin process was smooth and simple, we boarded 5 hours prior to sailing and checked out the ship and had a relaxing lunch. The ship is huge! I don't think we saw everything. We went without the kids and loved that the ship had a solarium designated to adults only. There we could relax and enjoy poolside. The promanade was terrific. It was truly a focus of the ship, absolutely gorgeous. Our stateroom was fantastic, much different than the cruises were we on in the past. We had a balcony which we absolutely loved. Service was prompt and excellent and there was wonderful entertainment as well. There is truly something for everyone, from a movie theater, library, internet acess and structured activities for the kids as well as adult entertainment and a large casino. Next time we want to take the kids-they would have a fantastic time.

We went shopping on our own. It has become very commercialized. I was hoping to find open air markets and did not.
