Review summary

The ship was very nice and there was a good selection of activites going on everyday, however the activities seemed to be geared more for an older crowd. Most of the younger (mid to late twenties) people that we met felt this cruise was not for them as well. The food quality was definately a big disappointment. The buffet had the same food everyday, which when you are stuck on the ship for seven days it gets old really quick. The room service selection was minimal.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
We did not enjoy the food in the dining room until the last two days. The buffet was also a disappointment. It lacked variety and the quality of food was not good. Although I understand the buffet is meant to feed mass amounts of people at different times, Golden Coral looked like a top restaraunt compared to this buffet.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The Love and Marriage show was very entertaining. The cruise director did a good job hosting that show. The ice show was also very good. The costumes were over the top and the skaters were really good. The comedians on the boat were also good but too short. It would of been nice if they did a little bit longer of a show.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
All the staff were very nice. We never encountered anyone that was rude. It did seem though that the two people we were expected to tip kicked their service up towards the end of the cruise. Our stateroom attendent didn't leave chocolates on our pillows until the last two nights and our main waiter only really got friendly with us the last two nights.

Ship Quality

The ship was very nice and clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our stateroom was nice and clean. It had plenty of storage and a nice size closet with shelves. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was decent size.

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

The beach and shopping were great here. Very nice and clean.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

We had a blast on our snorkeling excursion. We went on the Castaway Girl. The crew onboard were so nice and accomodating. They also served rum mixed drinks on the "sail" back. It was nice to get a free drink since the drinks on the boat were definately not cheap.
Don't Miss: Castaway Girl snorkeling.

Pros: St. Thomas and St. Maarten were a lot of fun. The ship was really nice and the staff were all very friendly.

Cons: The food was not very good. The ship also seemed to have activities for an older crowd. The money we spent on the vacation was not worth what we got out of it.
