Review summary

This was such a great cruise! Mainly due to the staff and everything we were able to do on board - we didn’t really need to leave the ship!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Really straightforward and easy

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The main dining rooms and speciality restaurants were all great, with amazing food and a huge selection on offer, and the staff could not do enough for us. We had our 10 month old with us and once the waiters had discovered her love for strawberries, they brought her bowls of them each time, before we’d even ordered!! They also all remembered her name and spoke to her daily!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Such a shame babies weren’t allowed in the pools, as they were empty most of the time and my little one would have loved to go in. In my opinion they should be allowed in with a swim happy and neoprene over the top, as they are usually in swimming pools.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All excellent. The Broadway shows were great and we really enjoyed Harry, the opera singer. In particular we were amazed by how much they all did and how many scripts / dances / songs they had to remember! Very impressive!

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
The baby room was ok but I felt more could be done for the really little ones, as I know the over 3s had loads of fun! It would also have been useful for there to have been an adapter on the steriliser in the baby room as it was annoying if you forgot!

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our cabin steward was amazing, very helpful and made towel animals almost every day. The cabin stewards, waiters and bar staff were all absolutely brilliant with our little girl. Some of the destination services people could do with some more details on some of the trips, however.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Generally everything was really clean. Lift issues were the main thing that we noticed going wrong, but they were always cleared up quickly.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Great size cabin, comfortable bed and very well cleaned. We had a cot in there too and there was plenty of room for it and us!

Ship tip

Be careful where your cabin is - the suites are under the gym and pool area which are noisy early and late. We were lucky to get an aft cabin but others towards the middle of the ship were less fortunate and were woken early / kept up late at night due to the noise from above.

Ports of call

Corfu, Greece

4 out of 5
A relatively easy walk into the town, which was ok!

Koper, Slovenia

Not an awful lot to do here on a Sunday, although the marina was lovely!

Venice, Italy

5 out of 5
We did this on our own - easy to get a water taxi into the town and gondolas are a fixed price so you don’t get ripped off. Lovely city - the sail away was particularly impressive.

Split, Croatia

5 out of 5
We did the Dragons’ Dungeons tour, which was amazing. Very knowledgeable guide who made the trip!

Dubrovnik, Croatia

Beautiful place. We did the game of thrones tour which was well worth the money!

Kotor, Montenegro

Amazing sail in and out, and a pretty little town.

Disembarkation

Really easy - although I think we were lucky at Corfu airport, having heard some other peoples’ stories!!
