Overall we had an excellent first cruise. The food was excellent, the staff friendly and attentive, and there was plenty to do. The ports were exciting just to walk around. This cruise made me want to immediately book another!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was quick and easy. They moved through the long line efficiently.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food was our favorite part. The chocolate cake in MDR was a dessert highlight. Guy's Burgers and Big Chicken were awesome lunch spots. We ate in Lido for breakfast most mornings. There were always plenty of options to choose from. Only negatives were sitting so close to other couples in MDR made for a slightly awkward dinner night where we ate in silence. Cucina del Capitano had the most amazing farfalle.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We loved doing karaoke. We won a Guess the Song competition and took home a little trophy and I placed second in a trivia competition and got a medal. Bingo was a good time even if we lost.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The comedians were absolutely hilarious. We saw Vince Morris and Manny Maldonado and both had us laughing. We watched Allure Strings play in Brass Magnilia and they were very talented.
Children's Programs
We did not travel with children.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our steward was so sweet and knew our names and said hello any time we were walking by. He answered any questions we had and the room looked great every day. Everyone else was very pleasant and didn't their job well with a great attitude.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
For the most part the ship was clean and well maintained and there was always staff around ready to remove any dishes. A couple times there were food and bowls of ice cream left on elevators and in stairways. This probably speaks more to the people leaving them there rather than the people cleaning them up. I liked the ship layout.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
I knew I was getting a small interior room so there was no surprise there. The bathroom was a bit cramped but it wasn't a big deal. We only needed the room to sleep at night and the occasional afternoon nap anyway.
Ship tip
Take time to just walk around and explore. The ship is huge and there's no way you can do everything. Also, bring something for motion sickness.
