This was a much needed getaway. A few small hiccups but nothing that has turned us away from sailing Carnival again.

Embarkation

Easy process that took maybe 5 minutes. Arrived at the port around 9:30 for our 10:00 check in slot. We were second in the priority line and made it on the ship at 10:50.

Food was so so this sailing. We tried main dining 2 times when we usually eat there every night. The main dining food seemed a bit off for us this time. We opted for the buffet and other eateries.

We had an Ocean view spa room that seemed to be the same size of a balcony room. Room included a couch and access to the thermal suite. Perfect location to the spa and elevators/stairs. The only time we heard “noise” above us was during a show. This room is below the theatre and there would be times that we heard bass. Nothing crazy and it didn’t last long. No bad rocking or swaying.

Ship tip

It’s a large ship with a lot of people so be patient. If you can do the stairs (especially going down) I would suggest to use them.

Grand Turk Island

Grand Turk is always a favorite. We decided to go to Bajari Resort since it was being comped. We stayed maybe 2 hours and decided to go back to the port and hang out at Margaritaville.

Oranjestad, Aruba

We didn’t have any excursions planned and opted to walk around. Took advantage of our Wind Creek comps and went to both casinos and left a little richer!! Nice port but be aware that it’s extremely hot and windy.

Willemstad, Curacao

Absolutely amazing day and port! We had a casino comp and opted for the all inclusive beach resort and water park. We didn’t realize that this was a Hilton property. Let me tell you it was AMAZING!!! We arrived during the breakfast buffet and it was a feast ( as well as lunch too)! You name it they had it. Plus at the beverage station there were bottles of different wines that you could help yourself to. The bar was located next to the w pool. One side you could swim up and sit, and the other side was open with sitting for those that weren’t in the pool. The have cabanas that you can rent but we opted to sit poolside and the umbrellas were just fine. On the beach there were lots of loungers with umbrellas along the water with a perfect view of the ship. Don’t forget to find the lock hearts and add your lock!!
