Review summary

Overall this was a 5 star cruise! We loved everything! The staff, the excursions, the food all were amazing!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
No problems at all. We had 9 people in our party including three people over 80 years old. All went very smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Drinks were awesome! Most bar tenders were fantastic including Ulia at the Red Frog upstairs bar. The food at the places like Guys Burgers, Shaqs Chicken, The Serenity deck salad bar were 5 star quality. The dinner places like the Palm, Chi Bang, and the Italian place the food was just OK. Service was slow in those restaurants also. The one thing that is a must for anyone is the Chefs Table experience! This was 10 stars and well worth the money.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pools were awesome! Ropes course was fantastic, the roller coaster was more fun than I expected. Lots of corn hole tournaments, and pickle ball tournaments that were fun also. The ship does need a real pickle ball court and not one with imaginary lines.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Stage shows were a lot of fun. Although, we were very disappointed with the Family Feud show we went to. The families selected had absolutely no engery and were VERY boring. Also there were a lot of technical problems that TJ tried to overcome but was struggling. The comedians including Chris Wiles were so funny. His show was one of the best. The entertainers performing the nightly shows were awesome also. You could tell they put a lot of work into what they do. The Family Feud show was the only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars because it was sooooo bad.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
L (nickname), our cabin steward was really good. He took care of us all ship long. Never had an issue. As mentioned before, Ulia and her counterpart Herbert who worked at the upstairs Red Frog bar were awesome, friendly, and made great drinks. We found the bars very busy at times but we never had to wait too long to get a drink. Jamie at the Alchemy bar was great also.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was immaculate from the day we boarded to the day we left. It is amazing how they keep it so clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

Room was perfect for me and my wife!!!!!!

Ship tip

Be patient on the first day. Do not let the first day overwhelm you and dictate your whole trip.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
Nice clean port. The unloading process seems hectic even though the workers all were telling us not to rush, we felt rushed to upload and get out of the way.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

We went on shore, not much to see here. We did not do any paid excursions.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
Loved everything about this port. We did the Durango Buggy and Waterfall excursion and it was sooooooo fun!!!!!! We highly recommend this excursion. I would rename the buggy portion to ATV or Side By Sides. When we booked we were not sure about the term buggy. Was this horse and buggy, a buggy you pushed? When we got there and saw it was Side by Sides it made that part of the excursion as fun as the waterfalls. We also enjoyed the pool later that day.

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
No excursion for us but we did snorkel in the crystal clear water. We saw many beautiful, colorful fish and a 4’ barracuda. The beach was great also. Lots of shops to enjoy.

Disembarkation

Ships part was 5 stars, US immigration part not as efficient. Just like in everything, when government gets involved things are not as efficient.
