Overall we had a wonderful time but the size of the ship often made dining & pool time unpleasant. We encountered many large, drunken & loud groups. We also had neighbors that smoked pot on their balconies. We complained but security took so long to check it out that the smokers were done by then. In the future we will only book on ships half the size of the Mardi Gras.

Tables were crammed in extremely close & dining rooms were very noisy. We also had to wait 90 minutes for a table on lobster night.

The magician did mediocre tricks & the Broadway Beats show had very few familiar Broadway tunes.

Most services were good. Our cabin steward didn't make up our room one day until after 7pm despite us being in port on an excursion the entire day.
Ship Quality

The ship was extremely clean & in excellent condition. The entertainment levels were difficult to pass due to the high volume of people. In the Effy store you couldn't hear to talk to a salesperson if a show was going on across the way.

Ship tip
Don't go on this ship if you don't like very large crowds or if you're looking for a romantic getaway. This ship is better for large groups or people who like to party & drink.
We boarded from here. We were given a 10:30 arrival time but didn't actually board until after 12:30 & that was with Faster to the Fun. They kept us in an uncomfortable holding area for over 2 hours.
The port is beautiful, very Disney World looking. We had a private island tour that drove us around the entire island & stopped for rum & chocolate tasting. It was excellent. Definitely our favorite stop.
The one thing they can do great is get people on & off the ship. When our zone was called they streamed people very efficiently. We used passports & there was no line for that. Our luggage was easy to pick up. We used Carnival's bus service to get to the airport. There were employees to help us find the bus. We left very soon after boarding the bus & it was a smooth, easy ride to the airport.
