Review summary

Overall, one of the better cruises I've been on.

Embarkation

The only issue was some people wanted to stand right at the entrance to the sitting area. Folks were told many times to sit down until your group was called.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The Steak House and Rudi's food were great. Seating in Rudy's was tight. They had all double tops along one wall and very close together. Food in the MDR was mostly good. A few dishes were bland and under seasoned. Overall food was good and some dishes were excellent. If you want to take advantage of all the specialty restaurants take the Any Time dining option. If you have a set time you cannot book dinner until after 7:45.

Street Eats

5 out of 5

A good place for a snack and always something different.

Rudi's Seagrill

5 out of 5

Food was amazing. They did push the two tops too closely together.

Lido Marketplace

5 out of 5

Seating was really good and plentiful. Food was okay as well.

Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse / Brewhouse

5 out of 5

Smoked Porter is my favorite. I had some every day!

Guy's Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que

5 out of 5

Great barbeque. I am now addicted to the Smoked Porter. I have to figure out when I can get more.

Guy's Burger Joint

5 out of 5

Burgers and fries were $Money! Just not enough seating.

Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse

5 out of 5

Always the best meal on the ship.

Carnival Kitchen

5 out of 5

I tool the Grill and smoking class. It was well run and the staff was very helpful.

Brass Magnolia Bar

5 out of 5

Nice place to relax, have a drink and listen to live music.

Big Chicken by Shaq

5 out of 5

The breakfast egg on a biscuit was amazing.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
People continue to hog chairs and leave towels to hold them for hours. The activities we attended were all good.

Atrium

5 out of 5

It was very nice just not enough seating.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The Vegas show was excellent! Bands were very good and the Garage band was amazing.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
It seems that customer service is paramount at Carnival. Every Carnival person I spoke to was both friendly and eager to assist in every way. I could not ask for better service.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is beautiful and well maintained. I understand the idea of putting the stores on 3 different floors as well as food and entertainment dispersed. It would be great if the stores were all together in a row but I get why it was organized the way it is.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The room was very clean. It seemed a bit narrower than other Carnival balconies I have stayed in. The space between the foot of the bed and the TV was tight. Also the toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom seemed to be behind me when I was sitting on the commode. The room was very quiet as there was really no through traffic.

Ship tip

Use the mid ship elevators as little as possible. They were always the most busy.

Disembarkation

This was very easy. A passport and use of facial recognition made it very easy.
