Review summary

This was our first Carnival cruise but will not be our last. The ship was amazing and the crew were terrific. We did my time dining, which allows you to request a table starting about 15 minutes before the dining room opens. The three included dining rooms have different food and the menu is on the Carnival Hub app. All of the food was excellent. The shows and other activities were very well done. I haven’t a single complaint about our cruise.

Our interior cabin was nice. We are a family of 4, so it was crowded. But that was expected.

San Juan is a really neat city. I wish we had more time to walk around it. Definitely skip the paid excursions and just explore.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

The cruise port area has a very nice pool area with a swim up bar, water slides, and a zip line.

Grand Turk Island

The beach near the port is just ok by Caribbean standards, but the water is clear and the tropical fish are beautiful. Margaritaville has a pool that’s free to use.

Disembarkation

The elevators were packed, but once we got to deck 6, we walked right off the ship. It was quick and easy.
