I would definitely cruise the Mardi Gras again! Despite the small cabin sizes and the small, packed elevators, relaxing was good. I think I will opt to stop cruising while school is out. The kids were unsupervised and unruly.
Embarkation

This was the easiest embarkation I've ever experienced.

Food and Dining

The Palm dining room was a hit or miss, but Chibang hit the mark every time! The Chibang Margarita was good and strong. I enjoyed everything at the Italian restaurant. I was a little disappointed in Pig and Anchor, which used to be one of my favorite places. I've heard good things about their greens, so I got a plate of them. It tasted like it was cooked in heavy syrup from a can of fruit cocktail. There are plenty of food options. The buffet was not good most nights. I was disappointed they no longer had pears and prosciutto on the buffet. Those were my two favorite items.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We relaxed more than participated in activities this time around. Bingo is always a must.
Entertainment
We didn't go to any shows this time because this was our first time in months having time to just be still.
Children's Programs
My 17-year-old did not participate in the youth camps.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our room steward I Ketut was terrific. Our favorite server team was in Chibang. We had Enrique, Sulistianto, and Achmad, and they were terrific.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was much smaller than cabins I've had on smaller ships. It was hard to get to the closet without squeezing between the bed and the wall.
We did an all-inclusive beach day at Playabachata. There was not a variety of food; the drinks were watered down, and the water and hand sanitizer stations in the restaurant did not work. The water they put in our glasses was room temperature, and we had no clue where it came from. The staff was not friendly at all. The water in the women's restroom did not work, and the toilets didn't flush. When we couldn't find anywhere to wash our hands in the restaurant, we went into the restroom. An employee brought a bucket of water to pour on our hands. The place was disgusting. We had to find our tour guide when we had questions. He sat in one spot with his coworkers, vaping for the entire 4 hours.
