Review summary

We had a great time and look forward to sailing on her sister ship, the Celebration. We had some safety concerns about all the motorized scooters. while we understand and respect those who need them, Carnival needs to ensure they are not left in the cabin hallways as they oftentimes blocked the hallway and perhaps they should be given a separate entrance into entertainment venues as they were quick to “run over” individuals. Their safety is as important as mine but I want to be safe too.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and easy! As platinum/suite passengers we were some of the first on the ship - THANK YOU

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was good, service was excellent. Quality of vegetables not up to the usual Carnival standards

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Trivia was fun but the location was not conductive to hearing the questions. Too many other things going on in the area (TVs/restaurant patrons). Fitness center was top notch

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Most shows were AMAZING but sad to see there was not a show every night as in the past

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff and service was outstanding. Was surprised that we never saw our room steward and he only came once a day (suite/platinum members used to have twice daily cleaning)

Ship Quality

5 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was amazing. Cleanliness would rank a 3 out of 5. Not sure vacuuming was done everyday and most of the shelves were dusty when we checked in (I know because I wiped each with a Lysol wipe and they were not clean). I know staffing is difficult due to covid and they only have so much time in between cruises but cleanliness is important.

Ship tip

Be patient

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
The shops down near the pier were open but many out of “free” items listed on our maps. Nassau was clean and we felt safe.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

3 out of 5
Only walked around the immediate shopping area. Lots of new shops since our last visit to Amber Cove. Very clean and the store employees were very friendly.

Grand Turk Island

3 out of 5
Only walked around the immediate area (one too many times visiting Grand Turk). Need to add new/additional stores but overall a nice shopping experience. Clean and safe.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
I ranked it a five but it was a bit disorganized. I as a platinum member was one of the first to disembark but the meeting place was not organized as it could have been. We took our own luggage off the ship so customs area was quick and easy. Parking was a breeze.
