Review summary

Too crowded. Couldn’t enjoy amenities due to large groups of passengers taking over entire sections of the ship. Fight on lido. 27 cruises - first time didn’t feel safe onboard. Need increased security presence. Have another cruise scheduled in Dec, but will be the last. Clientele isn’t what it used to be and violence/fighting seems to be a growing trend. Not a family friendly environment.

First of all speaking from the law enforcement side, there will never be enough security to cover 18 decks and over 3000 cruiser. Every one would like to blame the disruptions on different demographics, but in my opinion it's more has to do with the alcohol that is consumed in a short period of time and certain people who think they are privileged. I have been on 3 cruises since December and going on another cruise on the Vista this upcoming December. When you mix alcohol and cruisers who try and police other cruisers, you will have some tension and it will over flow into a confrontation in some cases. This happens on land or sea, Happy cruising everyone and stay safe.

I wonder, drink packages = drunks = fights

Appreciate your feedback. Sorry this cruise didn’t had many issues for you!

Mardi Gras is beautiful, but I agree that the crowd size made it hard to enjoy many of the amenities and shows. Glad we didn’t witness any fights. Did witness group being disembarked in San Juan 😕

Thanks for the review. I have seen many comments about Mardi Gras feeling too crowded and public venues being too small. Hopefully they change the design on future ships and go to smaller ships.

That is too bad. I'm surprised there are not more fights. When you put 5,000 people together in a crowded space, with many of them drunk off the all you can drink package, hot weather, no real security presence, what would you expect. Any other similar venue would have fights too. Carnival has issued a lot of warnings in the news about cracking down but good luck. Best to try and schedule cruises when younger hot-heads won't be there.
