Review summary

Everything about this trip was great. The staff was wonderful as always. The ship is large and has something for everyone. Food was great, drinks are always great. Some venues fill up fast, so plan accordingly. We had a great week. Zero bad experiences, but we always make the best of everything. You are being waited on and pampered, so really, what could be better!! There were 6013 guests, but it never felt overwhelming. There were occasional lines, but that is expected at some of the top venues. The Center Stage, Mardi Gras Theater and Limelight do fill up fast, but we planned our day around the things you want to do and always found seats. The number of good venues and activities was more than you can do in a week.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Our check-in time was 10:00 -10:30. They took us right at 10am, and we were checked in by 10 after We had a small wait on the terminal while they finished debarkation and we were on the ship having a Guys Burger by a little after 11am. Verifly made it super simple.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All of the venues we went to were great. I read alot of negative reviews regarding portion size, and we never experienced a moment of hunger. The amount of food per course was more than enough. Most nights we couldn't finish everything. There are more food venues than we could visit, when with 3+ meals a day. All of the food we ordered was very good! Check In for food venues in the Hub app is super simple and we never had to wait. The app lets you know when your table is ready and by the time we got there, we were seated without any wait.

Onboard Activities

Bolt was great. Using the app to book the timeslots was really easy. Very little wait time when you arrive as scheduled. The Ropes Course and zip line was really fun. Don't wait until the last minute to ride Bolt. It was closed the last day due to strong winds. We booked as soon as we got on the ship and picked the first Sea Day.

Atrium

Aerial elements in the Center Stage shows was great. Seating is limited, but just plan your evening and arrive in time to get a seat.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone on the staff that we interacted with were SUPER. Never had any negative experiences with crew. They all seemed so happy to see the guests, they were always saying hi and acknowledging us. They are still wearing masks, but you can "see" the smile in their eyes when you talk with them.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Beautiful ship. The staff was always cleaning it. The layout is very different, but it is layed out very well to help with the number of people on board.

Cabin / Stateroom

Lots of storage. It was a bit smaller, but really didn't notice it. The bathroom is smaller, but the layout of fine and the shower is great.

Ship tip

There is a lot to do. Plan your day to see and do the things you want to do.

Booked an "off ship" sloth and monkey tour. Had a great time. The beach just off the pier is beautiful.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

Not much to do at the port, but the Aviary is fun. There are quite a few spots and stores. We chose not to do an excursion, so my rating is based on the port only.
