This was a friend and family cruise of 5 adults. The ship offered something for all of us. After our trip being cancelled so many times we were very grateful to finally be at sea again! Mardi Gras was a great experience.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The dining room service and food was perfect after long days. The buffets were very well kept with a great variety. We loved all the new dining options - ChiBang, Capitan, Sushi, Guys, Big Chicken Pig and Anchor and so much more!!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pools were very well kept and monitored. Hot tubs and pools were never crowed thanks to the size and quantity on the ship. The outdoor golf, water park and activities like corn hole were fun! The roller coaster was closed our entire trip didn’t see it run once- expensive too. We enjoy movie night on deck every cruise but we were VERY sad that they now charge for Popcorn! I really hope they change this fee- it should remain free.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The entertainment was amazing! We had a great variety of musicians to chose from. The DJ catered to all age groups. The shows were great! The comedians were awesome! Nice to laugh again onboard a ship! Good times!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room stewards aware very thorough and catering to our needs. Ship personnel were all very friendly and helpful. Very eager to accommodate our needs.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
At first we weren’t sure about the layout, but by the end of our trip we really enjoyed the lay out and flow of the ship. The ship was very clean- there was always a staff member available. Tables were cleaned promptly. There was only one issue- the ship bathrooms through out the ship have new door technology that caused some issues. Wave sensors that would cause doors to remain open longer than needed or lock technology that some people didn’t know how to use which caused some “walkin” issues while bathroom stalls were occupied. Overheard many discussions regarding bathroom frustrations validating my concerns.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The size of the room was perfect! We loved our balcony. We really liked the revamped bathrooms- showers now have doors. Liked the USB plugs and the amount available! The closet remodel was amazing and very much appreciated!

Ship tip

Make sure to tour the full ship on the first day to become aquatinted with the decks. Make sure to use you Carnival HUB - it really helps with maps, locations and planning activities! So much to see and do!

We did our own walk through of San Juan. We visited the Historical Fort, enjoyed local Empanadas and local Pina Coladas at Al Fredo- yummy!! Best I’ve ever had!

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
First time to Amber Cove- we did a country side drive to all inclusive beach. It was a great day. Food and drinks were very good. Our tour guide Juana was knowledgeable, friendly and very available throughout the day!

Grand Turk Island

We have been to Grand Turk multiple times but we still pick this port as one of our favorites. Played on the beach and shopped.
