This was the most amazing cruise that I have booked. Mardi Gras is a beautiful ship with lots of things to do, see, and great food to experience, especially Emeril's Bistro 1396 (it should be a restaurant within itself); ate there twice!

Embarkation

This was an easy process with VeriFly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The option to pick from three different restaurants for any time dining made it easy to choose. Chef's Table, Steakhouse, Bonsai, and Emeril's were great, so much so that I never ate a slice of pizza or made it to Shaq's chicken. Sea day brunch was also fantastic.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Enjoyed the fitness center, spa and massage.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Although I didn't go to a lot of the late night shows, what I saw were great.

Children's Programs

Didn't travel with children; all adult travels in our group.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Although the room was not cleaned as well as I expected (found items under and behind the sofa, under the bed and a little dusty, overall okay. Room Steward, Kehut (?)/10496 was great and worked very hard to accommodate our needs.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
For the most part the areas were clean, some bathrooms needed some extra care, overall well-maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
As stated above, some extra care with cleaning could be done especially in these current situations. There was a little too much dust and items not picked up from previous guests. These is to be expected with the quick turn around to get the cabins ready for the next guests. Loved the aft-balcony and will definitely try to book this again. The bathrooms were a little smaller than expected, but loved the shower door and extra space for storing toiletries.

Ship tip

Explore the ship, there is so much to see and do.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
No, but stayed in Cocoa Beach two days prior to departure.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
No excursion, just walked around the city sightseeing (shopping, found a cigar lounge and had lunch at Cayo Caribe-would highly recommend).

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
No excursion, walked around and went up to the sky bar to take pictures. Love the fact that you can get your passport stamped right in port. Hung out at "Order Here" enjoying food and drinks.

Grand Turk Island

5 out of 5
Yes. We did the Conch, Museum (changed to Lighthouse), tour and Governor's Beach. Nice relaxing excursion and great food.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
This was probably the only thing that was a little hectic. Everyone was too clustered together, but this could have been due to emergency that happened when we were disembarking. It seemed a little disorganized.
