Review summary

Think of this ship like a grandma – you love her but she’s no supermodel, and she’s not modern or current. But you love her anyway because she’s totally and unapologetically herself. She’s earned that. Some people “get” her and some don’t but she’s not going to change. She’s grandma. If you can think of this ship like that, you’ll have a great time. It is dated. It lacks a few activities. It doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles. But any cruise is what you make of it and this one will not disappoint if you can love her for what she is and manage expectations. Don’t overpay and you’ll have a blast.

Activities were not plentiful and varied compared to other lines we’ve cruised (Princess, Norwegian, Carnival) and this was very noticeable with three of the 7 days at sea. We had a GREAT time anyway! But yeah, not great.

Older but clean. Lots of storage. The AC was out of control and we froze for the first two days. Engineering fixed it for us (at 9pm after our stew called twice). All good but the cabin is dated. It was small for a mini suite. We didn’t care. We had a great time.

Eh. Mardi Gras was interesting (they celebrate for weeks) so if you like seafood and drunks, this port may be your jam.

Blue Lagoon island was gorgeous. Next time we’d skip VIP Blue Lagoon excursion and go mainstream- it was overpriced for what it offered us - but overall a great experience.

It was crowded. We carry bags on and off and didn’t expect lines or waiting- but wow, it was chaos. Took forever. The staff did their best but overall took too long.

Thanks for your review. We have cruised on The Majesty twice and loved her both times. We enjoy the smaller ships though, we feel it's a more relaxing experience. If you enjoyed the Majesty try Rhapsody. She is slightly bigger but the same overall experience.
