Review summary
First ever cruise on a smallish ship and was awesome from start to finish! Staff, food, drink, cleanliness, weather and facilities were great!
❤Cruising
Embarkation
4 out of 5
A little bit of a wait but quite painless, onboard in 30 minutes 🙂
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The main dining room was nice, food was great and excellent service from our waiter! We mostly ate in the buffet and again found the food to be awesome. Everything was cooked to perfection and although was quite crowded during peak times, we always found something tasty and somewhere to sit.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Pool was pretty crowded most of the time but always somewhere on deck to sunbathe. Being virgin cruisers we didnt really attend shows but the Piano Player in the Schooner Bar was great in the evenings!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
As mentioned the Piano guy in Schooner Bar was awesome, the crews show in the Atrium was good too and the band on deck at the pool was good but could have played longer.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Cant fault a single thing regarding the staff, they all worked amazingly hard and couldn't do enough for us. There was one bartender at the upstairs pool bar that didnt seem to be enjoying his job lol was like being served by a Rottweiler with a toothache but they all worked tremendously hard!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
As this was our first ever cruise (Why did we leave it so long to try a cruise pffft) we enjoyed the peace, tranquility and party atmosphere. This ship, although one of the older ones, was kept
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had an inside cabin (cant remember the number) it was quite compact and bijou but had everything you needed and with no windows which was perfect for sleeping, which is mostly what you use it for! There was not much noise from other passengers either!
Ship tip
This was a smaller ship but it was spotless and enough room for everyone! The Majesty is a perfect ship for a first cruise and we would sail her again! However, research the ship, the cabins, restaurants and bars and ports well before your cruise as we never had anything planned such as excursions etc but if you want a peaceful relaxing or party cruise this ship was everything we wanted at that time!
Very little to do in this small port other than eat and drink so book an excursion! Also be prepared to be extremely harassed by the shopkeepers in port, they are relentless!
We took our own luggage off the ship and we were off in no time! Gutted to be leaving the ship though! Definitely a great ship for our first ever cruise! We defo got the bug and are Cruising again in a few weeks 😁
