Review summary

Majesty of the Seas is past its prime. The ship is old, doesn't have the activities and amenities that the newer and larger ships have. Although, as you would expect from Royal Caribbean, the food and service is great.

When I last sailed Majesty, there were few if any diamond members aboard then. The Sovereign class ships, once amongst the largest ships in the world are now dwarfed by ships 3X it's size. She maybe a ship from a bygone era of cruising but she's got many great years as proven by her sister ships.

Do people not do any research before they book a cruise? We went for the port and then the destination then ship. Yes I would love to go on one of the bigger ships but for now I will be happy on the majesty. We were on Carnival Fantasy last year, same size and it definitely needed some reconditioning but it was very clean and I knew it was an older ship when I booked it.

Wasn’t our favorite ship either. But do believe it has its place in the fleet. Some cruisers like the smaller ships, without all the bells and whistles.
