Review summary

Was good for a quick trip but would definitely choose one from their larger fleet if going for more than 3-4 days to have more on board activities for the kids.

Embarkation

The staff with Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas was fantastic. They all went above and beyond to make sure everyone in our group was well taken care of.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
It was better than most cruise lines but if you have any food allergies such as lactose you ended up really eating protein or salad the entire time. My kids and husband really enjoyed the pizza bar and the windjammer buffet. I particularly looked forward to my sit down dinners at the Starlight Restaurant which had quite of few options every evening.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Tried to go to the pool with the kids but it was too crowded since it was the size of what most people have in their homes and being the only one on the ship. The fitness center was the same way so I just ended up doing laps around one of the decks. The only other thing really is the casino. My husband and I really wanted to go there but since they allow smoking in there it was so strong we just turned around and left. Keeping in mind this was a small ship it just didn't have much.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The entertainment on the ship was great. The comedians were very good and the cruise director was even better.

Children's Programs

2 out of 5
My daughter is a teen and had a blast with the ships teen club and all the activities they did. The ship a had a lot for her to do. My son however is 5 years old and this was not the case for him. Because it was only a three day the age groups were condensed in the kids club with put him with ages 3-5. He is an older 5 and just didn't want to go play with the 'babies' as he stated. The club director bumped him up to the next age group 6-10. Wow, big age gaps with maturity levels there so he didn't quite fit in there either. Outside of the kids club this ship only has one small pool with a very very small slide. With nearly 3000 people on board this set up was always packed. All and all this ships offerings was great for kids 12 and older but not such for little ones.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Oceanview Stateroom was very very very tight for four. It would even be uncomfortable for two. The bathroom was unbelievably tiny and very difficult to work with. The room when we arrived was a little on the poor cleanliness side. You could tell by things such as hair in the shower and bathroom floor that it was hastily cleaned.

Ship tip

If you have more than two people get two rooms you will pay a little more on gratuity for cleaning but trust me it will be worthwhile.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

I live only 2 hours away so I done much of everything around already

Nassau, Bahamas

1 out of 5
I did not like Nassau. It was extremely dirty and smelled of fish and sewer. The people see you as a commodity and will literally chase you through the streets to sell you everything you walk by. Think of it as an outdoor flea market with lots of drunk people.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

5 out of 5
Was fantastic would have loved to spend the entire time here. No pressure to buy anything or do anything and just loved to be able to just relax. My husband and daughter went snorkeling and loved it too.
