Review summary

The crew of Majesty, particularly in the main dining room (Kennett and Matheus), Windjammer buffet dinning area, and our cabin steward (Roberto) could not have been better.  All of the crew we met were friendly, upbeat and ready to be of service.  A smile on every face.

I should have expected that a short cruise would have attracted the "Party Hearty" crowd, loud and boozed up.

Food in the Windjammer was hastily prepared and adequate.  The grits were likely wasted as they were runny rather than of a fork-food consistency.  The needed a bit more cooking and a good stirring bring them up-to-snuff.  The main dining room meals were pretty well prepared and tasty.  Service there was slow.  I noted our table waiter had several tables to handle; both Kennett and Matheus were hustling to handle the workload.  (More dining room staff needed?)

The public spaces and our stateroom were kept very clean.  I did note some wet carpets even on the ninth deck, indicating leaks.

The weather was not conducive to shore tours; no fault of the crew or cruise line.

Overall, a good break from the routine.  We may try Royal Caribbean again.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Nassau, Bahamas Did not visit port

Ben there several times; did not go ashore.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island) Did not visit port

The ship did not visit Cococay due to rough seas (safety entering the launches and re-embarking)and likely damage from Matthew
