Review summary

Loved the private island...except the cost of floating mats, snorkle gear and anything it took to enjoy it (lesson learned)!  The cruise was good --  just some disappointing issues like a sewage/toilet problem 3 doors down (yuck!) and purchasing the drink package (Coke) and the only two Coke machines on the huge ship being empty ALOT (it was maddening enough to purchase the package - but once we did should have been able to actually get a Coke when we wanted!)  This is not my first cruise, but my first with Roayal Carribean.

would have been nice to not find someone else's worn sock under the bed.

Ship tip

Enjoyed relaxing on the ship decks. Food choices were good...quality of main dining room mediocre. Service was great.

Just got off the Majesty yesterday and encountered absolutely no plumbing issues. Makes me wonder if someone flushed something they weren't supposed to.

We brought our own floating after seeing the rates to rent them. Just some small quick blow up rings. 18 bucks to rent is crazy.

I was on Majesty over Memorial weekend we had 5 cabins and no issues. Had a great time going back on Aug 12. 11 days can't wait. Then Oasis Nov. 20 for my 50th and June 30, 2017 Explorer to Alaska for our 25th Anniversary. Can't wait to enjoy each trip!

We sailed on Majesty 07/11 with no problems. However the there was a toilet backup on our floor when we sailed on Freedom in the spring. I think it just happens sometimes. It might have to do with what you are sending down it too!

If you can go in March or April I'd recommend moving your reservation over to The Brilliance of the Seas in Tampa. I'm going on Majesty in a few weeks so I'll let you know how it smells. I'm staying on the 5th floor

So would you book a different ship

shaylowe    8 years ago

I agree. This is their oldest ship and although it was just dry docked they did nothing to the plumbing

It's still real concerned about the sewage comment

It's best to just bring a cheap snorkeling set from Walmart or someplace instead of renting. I find it does the trick. I cut a pool noodle in 1/2 and pack it. I use it in the bathroom to keep water from getting out of the shower because those shower curtains are useless. Then I bring it to Coco Cay. That stinks about the Coke machines. Any bar will fill your cup but I know they stay kind of busy
