Review summary
First I will say that I was truly excited to get started cruising. I have been looking forward to this cruise for a long time. I booked it well in advance. When I was notified that I could confirm my room and excursions I did that right away. I purchased the parasailing which was really fun. I also purchased the Soda beverage package for my wife and I for $22 each. The entertainment on the ship was awesome.
If that was all I had to say it would have been 5 stars.....but
When I boarded the ship there were dozens of people trying to sell the beverage packages. There are 4 tiers. The one we had purchased online was the cheapest. We must have been asked at least 10 times if we wanted a package or when I said I already had one if I wanted to upgrade. Finally, one person said my package did not include latte's. That is pretty much all my wife drinks so finally I upgraded to the top tier package for $67 for my wife only since I was advised that one was for the lattes and cappuccinos. Since that package also included alcohol she had a few Margaritas thinking that it was all included in the package and why not.
The last day of the cruise we got a bill for our stay which included $268 for the beverage package upgrade. Apparently, if you buy the upgrade on the ship you get charged $67 every day of the cruise. Needless to say I was shocked and went to guest services to complain. It then became obvious that this is the plan all along. They were unwilling to do anything about it. I offered to just pay for the Margaritas and Latte's and just go back to the $22 package which I already bought but no dice. This is when I found out that buying the package online is only a one-time charge and not everyday like the one bought on the ship. Because of this I will not cruise any ship from this company ever again. I feel completely scammed and to me it is obvious that it is on purpose.

If there is anything to take away from this experience I would say read every document before buying anything.
