Live and learn, cruising in the Bahama's during February is not a good time to cruise. Who knew that when you leave the port of Miami on your cruise ship that you head north. We sailed up towards Daytona FL.,before heading to Coco Cay Island. When we reached Coco Cay, the water was so rough and the winds extremely high, that we had to by-pass this island and cruise down to Nassau. At Nassau we went to the Blue Lagoon Dolphin and Sea Lion excursion, and the ocean water was so cold no one went in the water past their ankles. So all in all it was not a pleasant trip. I spoke to the life guard at the Blue Lagoon and he said the best time to go is May to Sept.
