Majesty of the Seas

4 Night Bahamas (Miami Roundtrip)

Sail date: November 19, 2007

Ship: Majesty of the Seas

Cabin type: Inside

Traveled as: Couple

Reviewed: 14 years ago

Review summary

The ship has recently been renovated and it really shows. Everything was up to Rccl normal standards and as usual we more than happy with our overall trip. We did notice a difference in the quality of entertainment in comparison to the larger ships and passed on most of the nightly shows. The service however was just as wonderful as we have come to expect. .

Take a taxi $4.00 to the public beach on Paradise Island. The locals will rent you a lounge chair and umbrella $10. each. You can drink tropical drinks from coconuts all day for $10.00. What a deal!!
Don't Miss: Knock off purses at the straw market

Key West, Florida

We spent the entire Thanksgiving day at Irish Kevins. Had so much fun It should be illegal. They make a mean Key Lime Pie Shooter! Almost missed the boat.
Don't Miss: Irish Kevins

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

Great place to just lay on the beach and veg. If you want real seclusion, keep walking around the island and you will find many private beaches equipt with lounge chairs, everyone stops at the first couple beaches.

Pros: The Ship was clean and beautiful as all Rccl ships.Recent renovations were well received.

Cons: I have sailed many times on rccl but mostly on larger ships. I found Majesty a little difficult to navigate. Also, I was unimpressed with Thanksgiving dinner. Dry turkey, bland sweet potatoes and no pumpkin pie.
