Majesty of the Seas

4 Night Bahamas (Miami Roundtrip)

Sail date: October 23, 2006

Ship: Majesty of the Seas

Cabin type: Inside

Review summary

I thought the ship was pretty nice, even for an older vessel. The layout was good and the ship had lots of things to do onboard.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Very good food. I liked everything they served. Our waitress was the best, from serving our dinners to giving port advice.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Mixed reviews for this category. A couple of shows were good. A couple were not. The "games" in various lounges were lacking. The buffets, casino, and arcade were good though

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The entire staff was excellent on our scale. They were very good at their various jobs, and also very helpful with any questions we had.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was pretty big. Very clean, even though Royal Caribbean will be renovating the entire interior this winter.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Interior stateroom is smallish, but with ample closet space. No complaints for the great price. Our cleaning guy was great too.

Ports of call

Key West, Florida

3 out of 5
Key West is never that big of a deal to me.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

5 out of 5
Our favorite port. It's a private island of the company's. I recommend going around the island until you find the hammocks hung on the palm trees. Relax, read, nap in the shade, and play in the ocean. Great time!

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
We hit the shops and had a great time. Though we did miss the trip to Atlantis. We just ran out of time

Pros: Food was great! The crew was very helpful. Very relaxed atmosphere. Good ports.

Cons: The "games" were a bit weak
