Review summary
Most on our cruise were over 60 (not a bad thing), so a relaxed pace and quieter group. No issue on getting deck chairs or dining room tables. Although main shows were busy, there were always a few seats for anyone coming in late. Many did not go to shore at stops in Brazil, so usually no lines - except a 15 min or so wait for tendering. Ship was very clean, always picked up. Rooms cleaned promptly. However there were leaks in some of plumbing (not our room), so fans on often. Food generally very good, although selection a bit skimpy (maybe because it is small ship - Maasdam).
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Food good, but limited selection, probably due to a small ship. Pinnicle Grill was good, but they would not get escargot from Main Dining room when they did not have them at Pinnicle (but were on Main dining room menu).
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Lots to do. But mostly for older crowd (which we were). Wish a bit more upbeat.
Entertainment

Some excellent, but most only so so. Guess you cannot expect too much on small ship.
Service and Staff

Excellent.
Ship Quality

Older ship. Some leaks in plumbing caused for fans on to dry out carpets. Elevators worked fast.
Cabin / Stateroom

Great service. Laundry done in 1 day!! Breakfast in Pinnacle Grill was great. Not real happy about Nepture Lounge - lot of food, but limited drinks (I suppose you need to buy) and few people there much of the time. John, the one in charge was not real friendly and had his nose in his computer 90% of the time. Hardly looked up when we came in. Not mean, but seemed disinterested. His sub, a woman, was much better.
