Review summary

The Maasdam has been thoroughly renovated and is 'like new'. The entertainment, especially in the lounges, was varied and excellent. The food in the dining room far exceeded our recent Caribbean cruise experiences on similar ship lines. The port stops were among the best the Caribbean has to offer, including Curracua, Aruba, and St Thomas. The other passengers were the nicest we ever met. Everyone, it seems was friendly and courteous.

A neat and clean port (it's Dutch) with colorful painted buildings. Some nice restaurants for those inclined to take a break from the ship's fare.

We really enjoyed the town and the drive up to the California lighthouse. We had lunch with friends at a terific steak house in town, the El Gaucho. Awesome steaks!!

We been here several times. Unless you seek jewelry, there's not a great deal to the town. Some of the excursions were rated well by our colleagues.
