Review summary

We have sailed on the Maasdam two years in a row. The staff is great and very friendly, from the captain to the food and cabin stewards. The ship is manageable in terms of size and number of guests, not like some of the megaships that sail now. ..it never seems crowded. The dining room is very elegant and the quality of the food is excellent, and the Lido buffet is also quite good and convenient.

We took a $10 boat ride to a private beach, where there was a restaurant, bar, snorkel equipment, etc. The site was gorgeous, and this was an exceptional day at the beach.

We did the river tubing...it was really a lot of fun. You get to see a lot of the countryside, which is very natural and beautiful. It isn't for the timid, though!

We just did shopping here this trip, which was fun. Last year, we went scuba diving, which was fantastic.

We only did some shopping, but this is such a short stop...only the morning. It would be nice to stay here a little longer. Last year we did the tour, but it was also only a morning stop in San Juan.

We did the "swim with the turtles" cruise, which was one of the highlights of the trip. The crew of the catamaran was top notch and very friendly. We also did a lot of fun tube rides as part of this trip...I would definitely do thiis again!

Pros: The service was teriffic once again; very attentive.
