If this is all you can afford.....go for it!!! I don't want to be on vacation with thousands of people with poor manners. This is a budget cruise at best.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We purchased the VIP Key and embarkation was easy.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
The food was not fresh. It seemed to be frozen food that was heated on the ship. Very below average food selections.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
We only went to the pool on the private island day as the pool was too crowded and too many drunk people!!!
Entertainment
1 out of 5
Timing for dinner and shows was not good. We got to the Ice show late due to dinner being slow and late. We had to stand in the back to try to watch the show even though we had VIP key access. What we saw of the Ice Show was amazing.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Russell in the dining room was wonderful and tried to seat our family together. Service was slow at times and caused us not to be able to go to shows.
Ship Quality
1 out of 5
The cabin was tiny and out of date! the inside of the drawers were nasty.
Cabin / Stateroom
1 out of 5
There was nothing to indicate that this was spacious. The only good part of the cabin was the balcony. The room was tiny and the bathroom needs a total refurb.
Ship tip
If you like to be on an outdated ship with massive amounts of people and below average food, this would be your ideal ship.
We stayed on the ship to enjoy the pool while everyone was at the island. Late in the day we decided to go to the island to see what it was like. Wish we had spent the day there as it was large enough that the facility was not over crowded like the ship. We had experienced the Haiti private island with Royal and it was horrible!!! So...we were surprised to find this island to be very nice.
By the way, food has to come in some type of frozen packaging to keep it fresh. Watch the secret life of cruising MSCC side and you will see at one point that the restaurant manager goes over the food and shows you certain types of foods. Maybe it wasn't cooked enough. It's possible. How do you think they keep food? Fresh meats. Fish shrimp everything the fruit is fresh. It should be ice cream comes in a container. Every single food is placed and their own section of refrigeration, so there's no contamination.
Wow sounds like you think you are someone special. Most 4 day cruises are for families that can't afford longer ones. Guess you are the type that think you are better then most and nothing makes you happy. Cruises are what you make them to be. Royal does their best to keep the fleet of ships at their best. Notice you are one of the only surveys with 1 star reviews. Maybe that should tell you something.
If you go on any ship you can get poor manners anywhere. It's the people not the ship. Yes, Liberty is outdated a little bit. It probably needs a refurbishing. We will on that ship. Last year and in general on cruise post a lot of people have complained that the ship is outdated. Next time if you do go with well Caribbean go to the private island. We went to Haiti to labadie and it was very nice. We had no problems with that. We took that cruise in 2015 when we went on the grandeur of the Seas.
If you had a late dinner then try to go to the early shows. They have two ice skating shows I believe. Or with that, why don't you get any time dining? This way you can go and eat when you want. When we filled out our thing online for well Caribbean we wanted anytime dining. At first they put us for 8:00 but my husband kept writing to them. And thank goodness gracious we got any time dining. I don't want to be stuck at a time to eat. Also, thank goodness gracious that we did not get that 5:15 eating time.
When we went with Liberty we did the Canada and New England run. I had a great time. Your cruise was 4 days.
