I was very disappointed with the liberty of the Seas being outdated and the portion size of the meals in the main dining room. The meals was kid size portions! The ship need a dry dock upgrade to be comparative to the new tech/amenities being placed on their newer ships. I will never get on other Royal Caribbean ship that is older than the Allure of the Seas!!!!!! until they upgrade their ships.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The food in the windjammer was great as usual, the food in the main dinning room was drastically hit with shrinkflation. the portions was very tiny. I literally had to eat at the windjammer before or after to get full
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
The activities onboard was very limited because the ship is outdated

Ship Quality
2 out of 5
The ship was very outdated and the ship is in desperate need of a dry dock upgrade. The bannisters on the ship had no varnish on it. Majority of the ship was outdated and need to be updated to be in line with their newer ships
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
The cabin like the ship was out dated like a 1972 bungalow
Ship tip
Do not get on this ship until Royal Caribbean spends money on upgrades
They are upgrading the ships. The Liberty is one of the ships that dry dock was canceled due to Covid. It is now scheduled to be updated in 2026. Many other ships have already been updated including independence, freedom, voyager, mariner, navigator, and oasis.
Amenities did you use on the private island. You don't have to use them you could just go to the beach and hang out and they have a lunch so I don't know why you're saying that nobody has to use the paid things
Who's on that ship last year and the ship you know it's not up to date as people had mentioned in the past. I had a good time. We had a nine night cruise it was a Canada New England run. I saw the chair that was in our cabin the bottom of the material was ripped maybe I should have mentioned that to guest services and I didn't. The portions that I had were great maybe you eat a lot of food. You could also have gotten the second one if you wanted to. It probably needs to go into Dry Dock and hopefully it will. As far as the hosts that called MC's they are cruise staff crew work under the cruise director. They never prepare for their activities before they do things with the guests. Great time all in all and it's what you make of it
I sailed on Liberty of the seas last June and had s blast. Thr food was great. The portions are a good amount you do not need no more than that. The ship is in good condition considering her age.
