Review summary

I am really disappointed with RCCL. My first cruise with RCCL was in the 80's on the Sovereign of the Seas. It was so memorable, that I sailed on her again a few years later. Service and overall quality of ship, food & beverages, and entertainment were outstanding. I'm not sure if many of the amenities and quality were eliminated b/c budget constraints, but this trip was a huge disappointment - never again with RCCL.

Main dining first night: Fish smelled "fishy" and strip steak too tough to chew. Dinner at Giovanni's second night: Pasta dish tasted like "Hamburger Helper", bread sticks were burnt, and tiramasu was a joke - cup of whipped cream with oreo cookies crumbled on it. Third night in main dining was a lobster tail - it was mushy - so it was either old or not prepared properly. Somebody needs to teach the bartenders how to make a good margarita and a good pina colada.

Toilet in room either flushed all the time or didn't flush at all. Some of the hallway carpets smelled moldy. Mattress gave me a backache every night - like sleeping on a brick wrapped in toilet paper!
