Again, if you never cruised before you would not notice alot of issues. Ac not working properly throughout ship,
Fridge is only a cooler, no introduction from steward and Only came in room once a day, Charging for everything now, Lower quality food. Food was the same every day in Windjammer, other ships have better quality and variety. They now have the specialty restaurants. The"better" quality food should be in dining room anyway. Just another way to spend more money. It used to be all inclusive.

Food and Dining

Food was ok but definitely has changed since our last cruise with quality. If you had not cruised before you would see the difference. Now they charge extra for everything.
Onboard Activities

Gym was the best I've seen on a ship. Went to a few shows which were good. Not alot weeks to offer other than shop. I did get 3 massages which Cristal was the best masseuse that I have ever used. She gets 10 stars
Perfume Shop

The perfume I bought was alot more than off ship. My wifi wasn't working when I bought so didn't know until after.
Day Spa and Fitness Center

Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Service had definitely gone down. Our room steward never did introduce himself like we have in past trips. I asked his name finally the 4th day. He would always say hello but not attentive like it used to be. One thing that I did notice is they only come once a day. The fridge wasn't a fridge. It was warm. My brother's steward told him it is just a "cooler" now. I brought back cannolis back and put them in there for after dinner, they were warm when we got back to room so threw them out. Our dining servers, Gede and Arvin would great
Ship Quality

Everything was always clean. Several of bathrooms near theater and bars did have leaks from commodes. Air throughout ship felt like it was on energy saver mode. Dining room was definitely warm at night.
Cabin / Stateroom

Clean but outdated. Beds were very hard. Booked this late so only was able to get room over promenade, would not do that again. Room size normal.
Ship tip
Still a nice ship just everything is outdated. Drink package was overpriced, my 86 year old mom doesn't drink and it was too much for one person. However, too buy individual drinks was insane. My on charge bill was more than my cruise.
Our excursion was ruined since it was later in evening everything was closed and too dark to really see anything. Everyone complained and they have back 1/3 to compensate. Rant should have been more since the trip was basically listening to your guide talk and looking into blackness
Thanks for sharing your cruise experience. Glad you enjoyed a good portion of your cruise. Sorry that there were aspects that didn’t meet your expectations. Royal had cut back to servicing cabins to once a day earlier this year except for junior suites and above. All Royal ships’ cabins have coolers. We’ve cruised on many Royal ships and this has been our experience. People have suggested putting ice buckets inside or leaving the cabinet door open to get the temperature down a bit but they are not like mini fridges. With some research you would have known these aspects. Sorry about the a/c not working well. That does happen from time to time. We were on Liberty in July and froze! Hope your next cruise or vacation will meet all your expectations.
