Review summary

Trip was surprisingly disappointing with some great employees and many who were bothered by our presence. We have never experienced this on any cruise. Food was definitely sub par lobster tails have been removed from the menu, “because people have ordered too many of them”. Unfortunately, we give this cruise 3 stars where it has always been 5 stars in the past.

Embarkation

2 out of 5
Port employee told us to get out of the line saying it was for suites only. We had booked a suite… the guy kept on belittling us until another sane employee greeted us.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Drinks were fine no issues… however the food is another story. Lobster tails have been removed from the menu. You can purchase a lobster for $40. Most of the food has been replaced with an entrée you could purchase at Denny’s. The service was also not up to par. Unfortunately, this trip was a major disappointment

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The pools were fine although they were a bit crowded. The onboard entertainment was not as good as it has been in the past. The shows were definitely not of the quality expected.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
In the past, shows on board have been very good and entertainers have been of the best quality. We were disappointed as most entertainers we’re below what we expected.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Some employees were wonderful and engaged however many employees were not. In some instances, we were made to feel as if we were a bother to them.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship is now over 20 years old and in need of a refit. Paint was peeling, rust showing and there were broken fixtures throughout. Many items were in disrepair.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Our cabin was roomy but definitely in need of repair… the shower handle was broken. Drawers in the dresser were broken curtains ripped shower curtain torn safe was broken mold and mildew in the shower chairs were worn and tired closet doors wouldn’t close correctly etc.

Ship tip

Elevators are consistently crowded and there is a serious lack of handicapped access.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Nassau, Bahamas

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Some personnel were excellent however some were angry we were even there. We went to rent snorkeling gear and they said the were out and that we were “out of luck”

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
It was good but we were hassled by some male staff member and told to get out of the line for suites. I let him know we had booked a suite and he wouldn’t stop bothering us until another employee greeted us.

Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately, you run into personnel like that but you can’t let them ruin your cruise. Hopefully your next cruise will go better.

This seems to be the standard of cruising on most ships now.
