Review summary

We love cruising and since we retired we spend a lot of time cruising. This was our 45th cruise. We enjoyed this cruise because it allowed us to relax and enjoy the sea and meet new people. No cruise is the same and we cherish individual memories.

Embarkation

Liberty of the Seas was sailing at 90 % capacity. There were long lines at check-in but the waiting time was very reasonable. The embarkation process was organized and most people used the online pre-check option.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The quality of food could have been better in all of the dining venues. Nevertheless, there was plenty of food throughout to satisfy one’s appetite. Our favorite night was the lobster night….I ordered two lobster tails🦞🦞

Main Dining Room

We had an early 5:00PM seating which we thought that it was a bit too early….5:00 PM would have been better.My wife and I enjoy sitting with other people and we asked to be seated on a table with another family of four. We enjoyed their company and we had many interesting conversations.

Café Promenade

This is a very convenient place to have a snack anytime you are hungry. You can sit along the promenade and people watch while you are eating or drinking coffee.☕️☕️

Windjammer Marketplace

Buffet food in the Windjammer was abundant. There were always plenty and variety of items to choose from. The place was crowded during the peak hours. Service was excellent.

Sorrento's Pizza

After the nightly show we usually stopped for a snack of few slices of pizza. It was delicious and we enjoyed it every time 🍕🍕

Onboard Activities

We used the solarium for relaxation and the fitness center. My favorite was the diamond lounge that I used for socializing and meeting people.

Entertainment

We were disappointed with the quality of entertainment that was available . The production show (Saturday Night Fever) was canceled and the headliner shows were not impressive. The ice show was good.

The ship is old and badly needs updating.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our Junior Suite cabin was clean and spacious. Plumbing in the bathroom sink needed maintenance. Air conditioning controls did not work properly.

Ship tip

For better entertainment I recommend the Oasis class ships.
