Review summary

Briefly....enjoyed every minute of it. Leave the world behind and be pampered and well taken of for a week. Can't ask for much more.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Due to Covid, embarkation was actually better organized than in the past. Also, not as many passengers.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We love the main dining room. Don't find it necessary to use the specialty ones. We do enjoy one lunch at Johnny Rockets-good food, great malts. Buffet has lots of good choices, but we seldom go to it.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Mainly went to the live shows. Ice skating show was fabulous. Enjoy listening and dancing to music in Bolero. Watched the crazy people trying the flow rider-fun. Deck walking and people watching.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Stage shows first rate. Different musicians, types of music offered all excellent.

Children's Programs

No kids. Didn't use the kid facilities

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the ship's personnel went out of their way, constantly above and beyond. Dining room staff, especially our two waiters learn your name and preferences. Everyone is always smiling, willing to help. So courteous. Both the main dining room staff and our cabin stewardess went out of their way to help celebrate my birthday-cake, decorations, singing. Can't give staff enough compliments. Feel like family by week's end.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Love the layout. We've been on this same ship numerous times now. Easy to find our way around. It's kept spotlessly clean. Just wish at this point they'd change out some of their decorating.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Had a slightly larger balcony cabin which gave us a slightly larger sofa and sq. footage. Space is well thought out. Storage places actually plentiful. Closet good sized. Needed more hangers-asked and they were quickly provided. Cabin cleaned well several times a day. Ice provided when asked for. Bed reasonably comfortable.

Ship tip

We always book a balcony cabin close to midship on deck 6. Love the balcony. Deck 6 is located such that it's easy to walk up or down flights to get where you want to be without having to wait for an elevator. Very helpful during busy times.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

Galveston is a beautiful city. Nice beaches, shopping, history. However, we did not do a formal excursion.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Port itself is modern, up to date. Well designed. We did do an excursion...snorkeling

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
Amazed at how this port has been developed in just a few short years. Lovely. Did do an excursion...scuba diving

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Cozumel has long been a port of call for many cruise lines. Accommodates numerous ships at once. Busy port has been very nicely developed. Well organized. We did do an excursion...Mexican cooking class

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easier than ever! We always do self disembark. Facial recognition software used. Amazing! No long lines at customs! Basically walked right off. We were in our car and on the road within 20 minutes of leaving our cabin!!! Bravo!
