Review summary

Never been on a Royal Caribbean ship that was roughly 1/2 full. Because of the lack of crowds, there were no waits for much of anything and the staff was definitely not stretched.

Embarkation

Despite the COVID protocols, the embarkation only took 15 minutes. Had to show COVID shot and COVID test results 3 times.

Food and Dining

Service was great. Food in the main dining room was good but nothing to rave about. The steaks were the most disappointing. Given the cost of steak, the NY Strip was about 1/2 the thickness of the meat served in 2019. Portions seemed smaller in the main dining room, but that was OK with us. Windjamer was great. Enjoyed having the crew serve from the buffet vs having to handle utensils after other passengers. RCCI had the experience down and it worked well. Given the ship was a little over 1/2 full, it will be really interesting to see how the Windjamer services will work when the ship is full.
